Google reveals imminent Pixel 4a launch

Google has officially announced the release date of the upcoming Pixel 4a, and we can expect to see it on Monday, August 3rd. The company launched a tease on Twitter, as well as a Google Store page full of nonsense filler text and placeholder art showcasing a model of the upcoming phone.

Once you solve the puzzle by tapping on the bars until you get the right order, the page now shows the upcoming launch date of the Pixel.

The Pixel 4a has been leaked for the past couple of months, getting a full camera review, a benchmark comparison, and even live photos. It's a good thing that its filly coming, but the market now holds tough competition in the form of the OnePlus Nord, the Galaxy A71, and other powerful mid-rangers. Of course, the Pixel 4a may have its own magic, and we'll probably learn more about it on Monday when it drops.

Current rumors say the Pixel 4a will have a Snapdragon 730 onboard and a 5G variant with the 765G. It's also expected to have 6GB of RAM, faster UFS storage, and the same single camera as the 3a. It's not currently known whether Google will launch the 5g version concurrently with the regular 4a.
